London is not a 24hr city.

You'll be hard pushed to accomplish anything in London after 6:30 apart from drinking and eating, this is not to suggest that I have a problem with either, nothing could be further from the truth. However the problem is that most of use in London lead a 9 to 5 life for the most part which leaves very little time to do anything ells apart from work, eat and get drunk, again I will reiterate the point that I enjoy these activities but a little variety in life wouldn't go a miss.
So for those of you feel the same here is a selection of after hours event held around London http://www.lates.org , one of the great things about some of these events is the whole of the venue remains open to the handful of guests.
I do recommend the VA at night with the lights turned down low, a little creepy and very calm.

My First Blog Post in 5ish years

Well this is my first return to blogging since my uni days. However cant think of a huge amount to say so I will opt for a mini review of Spore.

Well after playing spore over the last 24hrs I now feel compelled to make cute and cuddly creatures of war at regular intervals, however I don't feel the need to populate any one of a zillion planets with these creations of fluffy doom. The problem lies in the fact that the four pre-space stages of evolution are to brief, to the point that once you have finished each stages tutorial your half way through and have fully explore the options available to you within that stage.

This is not to say Will Right has not lead the maxis team ( at the sim city societies ) in developing a rich product with vast potential for expansion, while at the same time give the gaming industry a new benchmark to which to set interface design against. The greatest challenge of this game was to merge many genres into one behemoth of a gaming experience, playable by gamers of all shapes and sizes, unfortunately this was done by removing any form of complicity and strategy, leaving the games strongest features its 3D modelling environment that I am shore with result in a huge influx to the next years UCAS enrolment on Maya related courses and its sandbox space stage which will have immense appeal to those whole when playing The Sims would set fire to the house and remove the door.

In short:
Well yes it is short for the most part, but we should look forward to many good expansion packs, I can already see basic primates developing the Alan key and producing there own budget furniture.
